Hello...we have been married for a quite a while. Like most married couples we have had our ups and down, but more ups then downs :) One thing that we have routinely struggled with was our weight. Sure we have lost a little weight here and there, but over our nearly 19 years of marriage (and even a little before) we have gradually gained weight. We love to eat. We are stress eaters, we are happy eaters, we are bored eaters, we are...well...you get the point. Anyhow, in January of 2016 we decided that we had enough of being that jolly couple. Sure were were huggable and pleasantly plump and we owned it, but we wanted more.
This process started off simple, we started to walk. Nothing fancy! But then we also decided to cut out many of our calories. Since that time we have combined for a total weight loss of about 150 lbs.
When we add posts about our weight loss on Facebook many people have asked what are we doing. Well, we have tried several things. Some things have worked and some things did not, so we have decided to share our stories. On this blog, we will share our little victories, but we will also share times that didn't work and even times when we just had fun trying. This Blog won't always be about weight loss. Instead, it may be about what we have done to have a "youngerish" lifestyle. That is, a lifestyle where we feel inspired by the simple exploration of life...not afraid to mess up, enjoying each step, and being able to laugh at ourselves :)
